HOW TO USE THE ENERGYZER BACKREST™ & WHAT TO EXPECT
To receive the most comfort and energy from the Energyzer Backrest™
Follow these instructions:
On Vehicle Seatbacks:
1. Deflate lumbar supports in vehicle seats. (they reduce the flow of energy! And are less comfortable than the Energyzer Backrest™)
2. Position the seat back 2-10 degrees backward.
3. Install the Energyzer Backrest™ against vehicle seat backs with side bolster airbags using ONLY vertical straps. Horizontal straps may interfere with deployment of side bolster air bags. USE HORIZONTAL STRAPS AT YOUR OWN RISK.
4. Install the Energyzer Backrest™ against vehicle seats without side bolster airbags, use both vertical and horizontal straps. Tighten straps to hold backrest in place and secure using Velcro ends.
5. Sit in the seat and move it forward so you can reach the steering wheel without moving your shoulders forward. Failure to properly position yourself in the seat will cause you to lean forward and curve your back in a ‘C’ shape which will put pressure on your lumbar area and against lumbar area curve of the Energyzer Backrest™ and thus cause discomfort. Proper posture is essential for the Energyzer Backrest™ to work optimally to increase comfort and energize your body.
6. Sit in the seat and adjust the position of the Energyzer Backrest™ vertically so that it is comfortable to you.
7. Assume good posture (shoulders back, chest out, stomach in) and inflate/deflate bladder using the rubber bulb to adjust Energyzer Backrest™ horizontally to your comfort. The goal is to position your spine in the optimum gentle “S” curve in a perfect posture and energyzing curvature. Only small adjustments of the bulb can make a noticeable difference in your comfort.
8. When you feel uniform support along the entire length of the backrest you will know you have it properly adjusted.
9. Adjust the Backrest during use to your comfort. Most people will feel for the first time unique, firm yet comfortable back support that promotes proper posture, relives back stress and a surge of energy. Good posture corrects many back discomfort problems. It facilitates the flow of energy throughout your body
10. While using the Energyzer Backrest™, maintain proper posture. Most people have poor posture and it may take days or even up to a month, to re-program your body to proper posture. This may take some re-conditioning of old bad habits.
Note: Physical therapists and chiropractors recommend sitting no longer than 1 hour. Get up and move around, stretch etc. to restore bodily functions.
On All Other Seatbacks:
1. Install the Energyzer Backrest™ against the seatback with both vertical and horizontal straps. Tighten straps to hold backrest in place and secure using Velcro ends.
2. Sit in the seat and adjust the position of the Energyzer Backrest™ vertically so that it is comfortable to you.
3. Assume good posture (shoulders back, chest out, stomach in) and inflate/deflate bladder using the rubber bulb to adjust Energyzer Backrest™ horizontally to your comfort. I Used It Both In My Office Chair & My Truck…
It was wonderful, and I used it both in my office chair and my truck. Love that you can adjust it and I like that the strap goes from top to bottom and seemed to keep the backrest in place better.

Helped Greatly With My Neuropathy Issues
Physically speaking, my life has taken many twists and turns. My career required many years of hard and taxing training to perform operations when needed. Unfortunately, during those years of service, my body was breaking down with each passing year from the stress, strain, and impacts levied on me, particularly on my back and legs. I can barely walk a few feet now and I am disabled.
I was happy when I received the Energyzer Backrest. I had been looking for something that would help with my posture while sitting. My hopes were it would help alleviate the pain in my lower back as well as neuropathy in my ankles and feet. I immediately worked with it in my chair. After a few adjustments, I felt I had it about right.
Neuropathy is the reason I struggle to go to sleep at night or until very late at night or morning. The first night I used it, I was surprised that I got in bed without any irritating pain. I now sleep better and consistently most ever night.
In addition to the Energyzer Backrest helping greatly with my neuropathy issues, I tend to move about better. Sadly, I am more sedentary these days then I would like; however, due to having less back pain and getting better sleep, I do a lot more things around the house and yard- working makes me happy. I still get the pain after I do stuff but I take a rest and recover quicker (pain subsides).
I have received comments from family and friends that I seem to be getting around better. I thought yes, I seemed to be getting around better but why? Eating right and Physical Therapy is still the best for me but the Energyzer Backrest is a big part of my physical therapy due to the way it is positioned and how I bend backwards with the backrest.
